Looks like when iZombie returns Aly Michalka will be a series regular. The move many felt should’ve been made at the start of season 2. As fans have grown to love Aly’s portrayal of Peyton Charles. This is great news after The CW recently announced that iZombie along with a few other shows would not be returning in the fall, but midseason 2017 to accommodate the new series bringing brought on. A move I’m okay with if it means no more hiatus breaks in between episodes next season, but what do you think? Are you excited to have Aly take on a more permanent role next season? The 2016 CW Upfront presentation has now come to an end, and a lot of photos have began to surface online! Our gallery has been updated with all the photos of Rose we have found so far, which is more than 70 HQ photos from the red carpet, pre-party and inside, as well as photos of her arriving for the events. A huge thank you to my good friends Kaci, Sara & Jasper
Throughout the spellbinding second season of iZOMBIE, televisions only zom-dram-rom-com, Liv Moore (Rose McIver) grows more confident in her ability to use her zombie powers to solve homicide cases. As an intrepid, zombified medical examiner, Liv eats the brains of murder victims and uses the subsequent visions she experiences to help Detective Clive Babinaux (Malcolm Goodwin) put killers behind bars. Meanwhile, Livs boss and confidante, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), works on a means of reversing a stopgap cure that has turned into a death sentence for both Livs one-time fiancé Major Lillywhite (Robert Buckley), as well as her murderous enemy, brain-dealing former zombie Blaine DeBeers (David Anders). Meanwhile, the energy drink company Max Rager, headed by the unhinged Vaughn DuClark (Steven Weber), forces Major to kidnap innocent Seattle zombies in order to prevent their extermination, as well as the extermination of Major’s favorite Seattle zombie, Liv. The noose tightens for Major as Clive and his FBI love interest, Dale Bozzio, become increasingly convinced that Major is the Chaos Killer, a nickname given to the criminal who is making Seattles well-to-do (and secretly undead) populace disappear without a trace. Simultaneously, Blaines plan to replace his old boss as Seattles criminal overlord derails when Ravis latest version of the zombie cure robs Blaine of all of his memories. A climactic and bloody season finale scatters the pieces on the iZOMBIE chess board. A new brain supplier arises from the ashes who will make Blaines reign as Seattles number-one brain dealer look almost humanitarian. Also, Vivian Stoll (Andrea Savage), CEO of Fillmore Graves Enterprises, a private military contractor, now holds the secrets to unlimited zombie powers once possessed, but not fully understood, by Max Rager. Vivian wants to make Seattle the capital city of a zombie homeland, and she plans to do it by any means necessary. Shed prefer to do it with Livs help, but shell happily do it over Livs mostly-dead body. Based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Entertainments Vertigo, iZOMBIE is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Spondoolie Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars, Party Down, Cupid), Diane Ruggiero-Wright (Veronica Mars, The Ex List, Thats Life), Danielle Stokdyk (Veronica Mars, Party Down, Cupid) and Dan Etheridge (The Carrie Diaries, Veronica Mars, Party Down).
Its a sad day as iZombie is being pushed off until midseason 2017.
The CW is the final broadcast network to unveil its 2016-17 schedule, and the ex-CBS drama will retain its Monday-at-8 pm timeslot, where it will lead into Jane the Virgin.
Also of note: The network is plugging in new series No Tomorrow and Frequency after its two biggest hits, The Flash and Arrow, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, respectively; Supernatural is shifting to Thursdays following Legends of Tomorrow; and The Originals is being held until midseason.
Also on tap for midseason:Returning series iZombie, The 100 and Reign, as well as new entry Riverdale.
All told, the The CW’s fall schedule looks like this:
